Outside Easter Activities
- Egg Rolling– It sounds simple and it’s a bunch of fun for toddlers. You can use decorated eggs or the plastic kind. Choose a hill and roll down. Turn it into a race if you want.
- Bunny Hop– Your toddler can bunny hop with a partner or just do a single bunny hop race. Remember to keep your hands up like bunny ears and your feet together as you hop!
- Egg Hunts– Search your local community (such as the library or city recreations) for egg hunts, attend an egg hunt at your church, or put one on yourself. Don’t forget to hide the golden egg.
- Backyard Connect Four- You’ve seen the mini version… now for the backyard version. This outside game is sure to be a hit. Get it Here.
- Backyard Tick-Tack-Toe – It’s never too early to start playing tic-tac-toe. Here is a great outdoor version of the game!

- Animal Friends Game– Pick a Springtime animal and mimic it’s movements and sounds. Play outside around the yard and house and you behave, listen, and watch for your animal.
Creative DIY Easter Activities for Toddlers
- Marshmallow Easter Bunny – Activity found at No Time For Flashcards. I love this cute bunny idea!
- Silhouette Easter Bunny– Paint a large piece of paper with pastel colors. Your toddler can design a rainbow or just finger-paint until the page is covered. Print out a bunny silhouette and glue on. So pretty!
- Foil Easter Egg Art– This activity is found at I Heart Crafty Things. I love how the bright colors stand out against the tin foil.
- Pasta Noodle Easter Eggs– Working together, paint some various forms of pasta with pastel colors. After they dry, glue/design your cut out Easter egg.
- Easter Handprint Cards– These cute little lamb, chick, and bunny hand cut-outs can be found at The Best Ideas for Kids.

- Easter Sunday Skit– Tell the story as you act out the Easter story. You can have your kids or other family members present to be Jesus, Mary, the disciples, the guards, and the angel.
- Reading the Easter Story/Easter Books– The Easter story can be found in Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, and John 20. I have always also enjoys reading from a Children’s Bible with pictures for an Easter activity for toddlers.

- Easter Egg Salt Painting– You probably have paper, salt, and glue around you house… right? If you do, you can do this simple easter activity for toddlers. Using glue, draw your egg and then sprinkle with salt.

- Sticker Eggs– Use some cute animal, pattern, or floral stickers to decorate your traditional plastic Easter eggs. You’ll be surprised how much fun toddlers have doing this. Plus, you skip the dye mess.
