Mother’s Day is this weekend and, like most holidays, it’s a chance to show the people in your life how much they mean to you. Whether that’s your mother, your friends who are mothers, and even your kids wanting to show you love! This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Groupon. All opinions are 100% mine.
Y’all know that I’ve been big on celebrating the mothers and their hearts this year. Not just buying something, but giving her something that will meet a deep heart or heart’s desire. I think this is so important! I also think that sometimes we get encouraged, uplifted, and energized by doing things we love as well.

When I had the opportunity to partner with Groupon to highlight their Groupon’s Mother’s Day Gift Shop I was excited because I’ve purchased quite a few “experiences” over the years on their site and can honestly say I prefer experiences over gifts. Of course experiences are gifts, but you know what I mean. Depending on your love language, or the love language of the person you’re shopping for, there’s a lot of awesome deals.
Here are my top 5 favorites.
1. Sam’s Club Year Membership.Â
I love Sam’s Club and think this is great. This is particularly good for someone who wouldn’t normally spend this amount of money, but could really use the savings. Like big families with lots of kids who could actually eat those huge jars of pickles.
This is a gift that keeps on giving. This Sam’s Club deal is $45 for a a near $150 value. You get a year’s membership, complimentary membership for spouse or other household member, $20 gift card for any store purchase, and some fresh food certificates.
Neglecting your own physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional needs for so long―in an effort to be a selfless mother―leaves you depleted. Being well blesses your family! Learn WIN WIN strategies in my upcoming book!
Learn More2. Time away.
I love traveling and seeing new places. Groupon has tons of deals for accommodation in various places and lots of them are to beach getaways. Since I live near the world’s most beautiful beaches (Florida panhandle) I decided to go for something different and saw this cute hotel in the heart of Dutch country. A.K.A. Amish country.
What’s so unexpected and awesome about this is that it’s so near Amish country you can actually have a breakfast arranged for your family with a local Amish family. Talk about the experience of a lifetime. While this won’t last the whole year, I feel that travel, trips, and vacations together are actually memories of a lifetime.
3. Self massage.
This is flipping awesome. Ha. Okay, it’s not an actual “spa” experience and if you are looking for a day out in a serene environment, there are lots of other options for that. I love this, though, because it keeps on giving long after Mother’s Day.
And if your husband or kids don’t understand the fine art of massage, they’ll definitely be able to press a few buttons. :)

4. Canvas prints.
These canvases are truly something that’ll be valued for years and years to come. I have quite a few pictures of the kids that I’d make into canvases in a heartbeat if I had the chance, but I haven’t prioritized them as something I’d spend money on. I think those types of gifts are the best. The kind where you really want the item, but can’t really justify it in the budget.
Trying to work through some mindsets that hold you back? These cards will help you get focus on the right things.
Learn More5. Custom Bobble Heads.Â
How funny is this? Okay so this is a husband and wife bobble head, but you can easily do one with you and your child, etc. It’s customized based on a photograph you send. How fun would this be for a first time mom who’s been recently married? Or a mom of twins. Can you imagine twin bobble heads? I admit this is very very silly, but I think it’s fun.
An awesome deal for you.Â

FAQs
Have a conversation with the mom that you’re shopping for and ask her about the type of gifts she enjoys. Or talk to her husband or someone close to her and see if she has been talking about a specific experience or gift she’s been talking about.
Subscription services are a nice thought – there are subscriptions for meals, books and magazines, clothing, and more. There are so many options to explore based on what the mom you’re shopping for likes!
